Embroidery

Embroidery is a decorative and ornamental art form that involves stitching various types of threads, yarns, or fibers onto a fabric to create designs, patterns, or embellishments. This technique is often used to add intricate and colorful details to textiles, such as clothing, linens, and accessories.

The process of embroidery typically involves using a needle to thread embroidery floss or yarn through a base fabric, following a predetermined pattern or design. There are various styles and techniques of embroidery, each with its own set of stitches and traditions. Some common types of embroidery include cross-stitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, and crewel embroidery.

Embroidery can be done by hand, using a needle and thread, or by machine, where a sewing machine is programmed to create intricate patterns automatically. It has been practiced for centuries across different cultures and regions, and it continues to be a popular form of artistic expression, craft, and decoration today.
